Autumn – the season of comfort food. And what better comfort food than rich and creamy cheese? Spread lashings on bread, bubble it under the grill, add it to soup – it’s delicious however you choose to eat it.
To warm your cockles this autumn, we are bringing you a few recipes from Paysan Breton, a cream cheese from Brittany, where a cooperative of dairy farmers are passionate about the welfare of their herds. They expertly care for them on small family farms where they keep the numbers of cows low so they can thrive in a healthy, caring environment. In fact, the cows graze for, on average, 200 days of the year.
And happy cows produce happy cheese – which makes all of us happy! The cheeses, made from a traditional recipe, use only the highest quality ingredients. Paysan Breton French Sea Salt uses salt harvested from the famed Guérande salt marshes on the west coast of France, while the French Garlic & Herb flavour is made with fresh garlic and herbs grown in the sun-drenched fields of France. There are absolutely no preservatives, artificial colouring or flavours, guaranteeing an award-winning fresh taste.
Autumn is, of course, synonymous with Halloween, so here’s a spookily good recipe for you to enjoy before you go out trick or treating…
