Air France is serving up an extra treat to anyone flying to the Hexagon from the United States, with a new menu signed by none other than triple Michelin-starred French chef Dominique Crenn.

If you’re flying in La Première and Business cabins, the gourmet menu is available on flights from Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-Newark, San Francisco and Seattle, with a roll-out planned across all US departures during spring and summer 2024.

Crenn has created 12 original dishes for Air France, including a vegetarian option and a fish dish, with mouthwatering examples in La Première including lobster, pico de gallo and tea sauce, and root vegetable mille-feuille with truffle sauce. In Business, customers can enjoy the likes of Californian charbonnier with quinoa and marinière sauce, or open raviole, courgette and tomato, hazelnut and parmesan sauce.

The only woman with three Michelin stars in the United States for her famed Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, Crenn grew up in France, where her parents passed on their love of gastronomy to her. She left her home country in 1988 to pursue a culinary career in the States, where she worked for Jeremiah Tower and Mark Franz at Starsin San Francisco. She then made history as the first female executive chef in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she ran the kitchen at the Intercontinental Hotel. A decade later, she took the helm at Luce at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco, where in 2009 she won her first Michelin star, followed swiftly by a second in 2010. In 2011, she opened Atelier Crenn and within 12 months, it too had been awarded a Michelin star. A further two followed the next year. In 2015, Crenn opened a second restaurant in San Francisco, Petit Crenn, and published her first cookbook, Atelier Crenn: Metamorphosis of Taste. She also opened two other restaurants: one-star Bar Crenn in San Francisco and Golden Poppy in Paris, which she launched last year.
