If you’re the kind of traveller who keeps a closer eye on their wallet than on their waistline then we have good news for you. The Michelin Guide has just announced a whopping 56 new restaurants to be awarded the Bib Gourmand for 2024 – meaning a raft of affordable, top-notch dining opportunities just in time for your summer vacation.
The Bib Gourmand is awarded to restaurants serving fantastic food where you can get a full meal (sans drinks) for the bargain price of about €40. Michelin’s inspectors found a host of hostelries across France where quality cooking using seasonal, local ingredients needn’t cost the earth.
Brittany in particular won high praise, with ten new addresses receiving the Bib Gourmand, so if you’re going there or to any of the places listed below this year, treat yourself to a wonderful (and very reasonably priced) gourmet experience.
