2020 has been the year of the homemade cocktail, with budding mixologists shaking and stirring away for the entertainment of friends and family. Inspired by the trend, House of Hine, in the Charente département, has released the H by Hine, Hine Ball gift pack, the perfect stocking filler for cocktail lovers.
The set has a premium, artisan feel and includes a bottle of H by Hine VSOP and two premium embossed glasses. Its aim is to encourage cocktail enthusiasts to experiment with Cognac-based drinks and learn to make a highball serve.
H by Hine VSOP was developed by Hine’s cellar master Eric Forget, in collaboration with bartenders from London and New York, especially with cocktails in mind. Made from a blend of a dozen eaux-de-vie, it has notes of white flower, jasmine, apricot and yellow fruits.
Traditionally, a highball is a spirit combined with a sparkling mixer served over ice. The Hine Ball is made with 50cl of H by Hine on the rocks, topped with ginger ale. Add a curl of orange peel and a thin slice of fresh ginger and enjoy!
Founded in 1763 in Jarnac by Englishman Thomas Hine, the House of Hine is today one of the most acclaimed independent and family-owned Cognac brands, renowned for its elegant style and traditional yet innovative spirits. Hine owns 115 hectares of vineyards in the region’s first growth, the Grande Champagne, where a team of 30 dedicated people work. In the cellar in Jarnac, Hine has an unparalleled collection of demi-johns dating back to the 1850s, and since 1962, Hine has been the sole official supplier of Cognac to Queen Elizabeth II.
The H BY Hine, Hine Ball gift pack is available from various retailers at £39. For more information click here.
