Food festival looks at the impact of how we eat on our planet
Feeling peckish? Concerned about the state of the planet? Then why not nip over to Lille (via the more environmentally friendly Eurostar, of course) and fill your boots at the Mange, Lille! Festival?
Running until September 22, at venues across the city, the festival, which is in its fourth year, is positively bursting at the britches with conferences, tasting sessions, pop-up restaurants, big breakfasts, culinary competitions and more, all centred on the theme of the food chain.
The big question being asked is: what does eating mean today and what do we want it to mean tomorrow?
Participants include everyone from food truck companies to baristas to breeders.
