The Pink City hosts its popular annual food and drink festival from September 4th to 16th

If you happen to be anywhere near Toulouse over the next few days, you won’t go hungry (or thirsty) thanks to the return of the annual gourmet festival Toulouse à Table!

For two waistband-stretching weeks, visitors can indulge their taste buds in scrummy regional products, be wowed by culinary exhibitions and enjoy concerts, competitions and more.

Kicking off today (September 4th), with a marquee in General de Gaulle Square, cheeses and beers are the order of the day, washed down with a side helping of jazz. Tomorrow (September 5th), indulge in a glass of champagne alongside choices of foie gras or smoked trout from the Pyrénées.

On September 6, the focus moves to oysters, sausages and white wines, to the sound of a steel band, while on September 7, grab your Smartphone and round up some teammates for the Gourmet Trail Game, involving riddles, quizzes, tests and more, which will lead you on a tour of the Pink City, all with the focus firmly on food, of course.

Also on September 7th, Toulouse at table! celebrates the 90th birthday of Claude Nougaro with a giant cassoulet in place du Capitole, which about 2,500 diners are expected to chow down on. Choose your menu and book in advance on the website. If you wear a white top, you’ll get a free glass of Floc de Gascogne, and you even get to take your terracotta cassoulet pot home with you.

On September 12th, it’s the evening of the food trucks, with music, entertainment and foodie choices galore, including vegetarian, while on September 16th you can treat yourself to a round of gourmet golf.

Festivities continue until 10pm most nights – for the full programme of events and details, visit toulouseatable.org.
