Don’t miss… the Oyster Festival at Cancale

   2945

Brittany port hosts Huîtres en Fête on September 21st

The pretty port of Cancale in Brittany is synonymous with oysters and, love ‘em or hate ‘em, there’ll be no avoiding them on September 21 when the whole town celebrates this juicy little mollusc.

Head along between 10am and 7pm to port de la Houle for a jam-packed day of sea shanties and other music, tastings, demonstrations, live cooking and more.

See the oyster harvest in action, watch the parade by the Confrérie des Huîtres and tuck into deliciously plump raw oysters or taste a variety dishes prepared by local chefs.
