Taste a world of cuisine beneath the Eiffel Tower
Paris will once again be the focus of the culinary world when the seventh edition of the Village International de la Gastronomie takes place this September.
Taking place from September 11 to 14 on the Quai Jacques Chirac, in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, the event will be open daily from 10am to 10pm, transforming the riverbank into a bustling, aromatic village, where more than 55 countries and French regions will share their culinary heritage.
This year’s guest of honour is Cambodia, whose cuisine will take the spotlight in a series of live demonstrations, tastings and cultural performances. Every corner of the world will be represented, from Senegal to South Korea and Argentina to Azerbaijan, with embassies and community chefs based in Paris dishing up everything from street food to ceremonial delicacies.
With none other than President Macron and multi-Michelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze as patrons, the event has become a prestigious fixture in Paris’s foodie calendar.
Alongside the food stalls, visitors can expect a full programme of live music, traditional dance and artisan workshops, bringing the world’s cultures to life. A series of round-table discussions and talks will also take place as part of the Forum de l’Alimentation, with topics including culinary diplomacy, sustainable food cultures, and the future of traditional gastronomy in a globalised world.
Admission is €5 per day, with children under 12 entering free, making it a perfect family outing as well as a must for serious food lovers.
