Enjoy a little taste of France wherever you are! Bake and enjoy as part of a relaxed family lunch.
- 75g Very strong wholemeal bread flour
- 375g Very strong white bread flour
- 1.5 tbsp Unrefined golden granulated sugar
- 1.5 tsp Salt
- 1.25 tsp Easy bake yeast
- 260ml Warm water
1Put the flours, sugar, salt and yeast into a bowl.
2Mix to a soft dough with the water.
3Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Shape as desired and put into an appropriate greased loaf tin.
4Cover and leave to prove until double in size.
5Brush with warm water and bake in an oven preheated to 220 C (fan 200 C, gas mark 7) and immediately turn the heat down to 200 C (fan 180 C, gas mark 6).
6Bake for 30-35 minutes.
