Michelin Guide 2025: 10 new restaurants for great desserts

For those who believe a meal isn’t complete without pudding, the Michelin Guide’s Passion Dessert selection is the one to watch. Supported by legendary chocolatier Valrhona since its inception in 2019, this prestigious list now highlights 67 establishments that elevate dessert to an art form. 

Each restaurant featured in the selection is home to a particularly talented pastry chef, and this year’s newcomers are sure to make you mouth water. Manon Gouin, pastry chef at the Michelin-starred Mallory Gabsi in Paris, delivers bold and inventive creations, pushing the boundaries of traditional desserts. Over in Monaco, at the two-star Blue Bay Marcel Ravin, Floriane Grand focuses on fresh, fruit-forward and spice-infused treats that surprise and delight. Meanwhile, at JY’S in Colmar, Kevin Lopes-Reach stuns with unexpected flavour combinations and a dazzling selection of miniature desserts, earning his place among the best. 

Paris sees another standout addition: Jorice Sardain, the talent behind Fana, impresses with refined yet generous desserts, including his take on the classic Paris-Brest. With this honour, Fana becomes the very first Bib Gourmand restaurant to be included in the Passion Dessert selection – proof that world-class pastry isn’t limited to fine dining alone. 

Rounding out this year’s new entries are six more exceptional establishments where pastry takes centre stage: Albert 1er (Chamonix); Auberge du Vieux Puits (Fontjoncouse); L’Inattendu – Domaine de Locguénolé (Kervignac); Rozó (Marcq-en-Barœul); Casadelmar (Porto-Vecchio); Christopher Coutanceau (La Rochelle). 

With its ever-expanding roster of pastry pioneers, the Michelin Guide’s Passion Dessert distinction reinforces the golden rule of dining: always save room for dessert.
