Enjoy a taste of Normandy… in Brighton
This month, Normandy is crossing the Channel to bring a taste of French charm to the UK’s south coast. Following the resounding success of the Normandy Weekend 2024 at Brighton Fringe, Normandy Tourism is returning to Brighton Fringe in 2025 with an all-new, immersive celebration of Norman culture — this time set high above the city at the iconic Brighton i360.
Taking place on Saturday, May 31, the free event invites festivalgoers to experience the culinary delights and vibrant sounds of Normandy from morning through to sunset. Visitors can expect gourmet tastings, live music and a breathtaking aerial view of the English Channel – with Normandy just visible on the horizon.
The full programme includes:
Morning Lift-Off (10am–11 am):
Kick off the day with a Kids Disco in the iconic i360 viewing pod – featuring Bertille from Normandille, a Normandy-based DJ. During the flight, kids and parents can enjoy free Normandy tastings, such as apple juice, cider and a variety of sweet treats.
Normandy Tastes by the Sea (Afternoon):
Enjoy gourmet samples of Normandy’s finest food and drink on the seaside promenade in front of the i360.

Sunset in the Sky (9pm–10pm):
Finish the day with an exclusive evening pod experience featuring the UK’s first ever show by Maddy Street, cocktails crafted with Norman spirits and sunset views of the English Channel – with Normandy on the horizon, bien sûr. This event has limited capacity and tickets must be pre-booked online.
Brighton Fringe is one of the world’s largest and most diverse arts festivals, drawing more than half a million attendees each May. Known for its inclusive and eclectic spirit, the festival transforms the city into a playground for artists, performers and cultural enthusiasts alike. And whether you’re a Francophile, a foodie, or just looking for something truly unique, the Normandy i360 takeover is set to be one of this year’s most memorable events.
