Cheese and fruits with sweet bordeaux.

Winemaker Nicolas Sanfourche, of Château Loupiac Gaudiet, shares his festive recipe for this delicious combo of blue cheese, nuts and fruits, set off perfectly by a sweet glass of Château Loupiac Gaudiet. Perfect as an appetiser or to serve as party nibbles. 


Ingredients

  • Large slices of bread
  • Salad leaves
  • Pieces of Fourme d’Ambert
  • Dried apricots
  • Dried raisins
  • Crushed almonds
  • Château Loupiac Gaudiet

Directions

1Cut large slices of bread.

2Cover with salad leaves.

3Place pieces of Fourme d’Ambert (French blue cheese) on top of the salad.

4Add dried fruits (apricots, raisins, almonds, etc.) and crushed almonds.

5Place on a baking sheet and cook under the grill for about five minutes – check while cooking.

6Serve immediately with a glass of Château Loupiac Gaudiet.
