On 4th September, we should have been driving down to the South of France, for a month. On the way, we booked to stay in Beaune. We were so looking forward to the lovely food and smashing wine. Unfortunately, I had a nasty accident, resulting in several fractures in my right arm - hospital advice was for me not to travel. So, it would be absolutely lovely if I were lucky enough to win this lovely wine ...as a consolation prize. 🙂

Retirement brings the delight of sampling and enjoying wines. At sea, this was limited for safety reasons. We are at present looking for a home in France, to win would be an appropriate time to toast our future.

During the height of the pandemic I won a meal for two in a French Chateau but obviously and rather disappointingly was unable to accept the prize so it would be lovely to win one of these bottles of wine as some sort of consolation .
